Your Wedding Day

How To Prepare for that "SPECIAL DAY"

Hey Guys,

Today I decided to Blog about preparing for your wedding. Next year I have 2 weddings so far, that I'm personally involved in, and I'm so excited. I thought it would be a nice idea, to do a wedding beauty rundown from A-Z. I think every women, who wants to get married, has always thought about there big day. It's seems to be something always at the top of our minds, from the wedding dress, to bridemaids dresses, wedding colors, ect, ect. I personally love weddings, the beauty and the elegance of it. I'm a total drama queen, so I know when I get married (again) I want the glitz and glamour, but being a Makeup Artist, My face is one of the most important things to me.

So one of the first steps to handle when it comes to beauty on your big day, is what style are you going for?  Are you going for a classic look? Dramatic? edgy? Are you doing your own makeup or hiring a Mua? Little things makes the difference, but no matter what you choose, make sure it expresses who you are. Remember it's your day, and on that day you can do whatever you want, but first let me give you some ideas and looks, and of course products to have on that special day

BRIDE TO BE

Most brides will tell you, that they're looking for a more polished version of their everyday look and first step to achieve this is keeping your makeup as natural, classic, weightless and comfortable s possible. This is not the time to experiment with the flavour-of-the-month trends or look that you've never test run before, especially because you will like to be wowed by your wedding pictures in years to come, and some looks that might seem currently fashionable can look extremely dated in the future. Your bridal makeup should enhance your features without overpowering them.

If you're not used to having regular facials, it's a good idea to start two to three months before the big day. Any new skin care that you should wish to try should also be tested well in advance.

When it comes to your wedding day , a flawless canvas is the key to an unforgettable look. A good trick is using a water based moisturizer or primer to allow foundation to adhere properly to the skin, as oil based formulas tend to make it separate.

The other important factor is keep your face as matte as possible. Shine doesn't photograph well and even if your going for a subtle, dewy glow it can become easily mistaken as sweat in pictures. Loose powder is the best option to use at home, but carry a compact formula or blotting paper for touch up during the day.

COLORS

When it comes to colour, keep it as neutral and classic as possible. Matte eyeshadow is the safest bet to enhance eyes, along with long-lasting eyeliner and waterproof mascara in case you should shed some tears of joy. Individual false eyelashes can also open up your glance and make your look very special, without going over the top.  Blush should always enhance your features and give you a healthy glow, so go for pretty pinks, apricots, and medium bronzers if your light skinned, and plums, berries and dark rose if your skin is darker. Lips are also best kept matte and quite neutral. You will be doing some serious kissing, so choose a lip liner that perfectly matches your lipstick.
